Some examples of these convent mugs can be seen at the Ceramics Museum in Deruta. They were produced by local artisan workshops for the numerous religious communities in the area.
The classic tea set of cups and saucers has been updated with a practical set of stackable, American-style mugs, with three different embossed patterns. The coloured brush strokes make each mug unique. You can add as many additional mugs as you require to the set. All the mugs have the traditional protruding handles of the convent bowls.
